Statement:
As a keen observant of nature and society I try to express in these two paintings my understanding of the volatility of human condition in a mix of figurative and abstract imagery that are partially inspired by two poems. Historical and natural harrowing events and developments are repeated again and again or coming to a tipping point.

Confronted with the disastrous effects on all living beings these particular two paintings refer to the imprint on the human psyche.
Conscious how human experience can only perceive and understand fractions of the whole that transcend physical appearance, words and concept, my work strives to capture fragments of it in my personal perception as specific moments in the artistic process, A particular focus in my art practice is exploring the tension between change or permanence, culture and nature or movement and stillness.
