Statement:
We interpret the theme ‘NOTHING HAS CHANGED, EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED as referring to the issues of returning to normality after two years of covid restrictions.
Our painting ‘Green Parrot’ remains in a constant dilemma – should it stay safe and secure but confined in the cage or make a choice for freedom in the unpredictable chaos outside.
In ‘The Nest’, (an. image inspired by Goya’s ‘Saturn devouring his Children’), a creature is perched in a tree struggling to eat a burger while its head is in a state of constant fragmentation. The painting explores the dynamics of psychological change confronting normal activities.
