VenueThis year beep2014 forms part of Wales’s Dylan Thomas 100th birthday celebrations and will be spread over two venues in Swansea’s City Centre.
VENUE 1 : ELYSIUM GALLERY Situated in the heart of Swansea City Centre, just off the High street and only five minutes’ walk from the train station, the gallery has 53 square meters indoor exhibition area comprising of 37 meters of 2.40m high white wall hanging space (height from floor to ceiling is 3.1m) and a track spotlighting system. Recently renovated and formally the home of the famous Barons nightclub; the gallery is accessed via a flight of steps into the underground exhibition area which is also home to 12 artists’ studios. There are stair-lift facilities for people who have difficulties accessing the building and there are always a team of friendly gallery staff on hand to help.
